    The national union, which became the International Typographical Union in 1869, moved its headquarters from New York City to Indianapolis in 1888. It acquired the Van Camp mansion at 2820 North Meridian Street in 1925 for its new offices, staying there until 1961-1962 when it moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
