The historic site is open Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day from Wednesday to Sunday.

- The Valley Forge Train Station was erected in 1913 to serve passengers along the Reading Railroad. For several decades, the station was a frequent stop of tourist excursions to the park. - Description. The trail loops around Valley Creek inside Valley Forge National Park near General LaFayette's Quarters and Knox Farm. About half of the trail is a mowed path in the field, the other half is singletrack, and a small portion has some significant washout. Much of this trail is based on horseback trails in the area and includes some portions of the Knox Trail .
